Alternative living has always been an interest of mine. Being a father I think it is important that I consider how my actions and current lifestyle will impact the future. “What will I be leaving my children?” is a question I find myself asking more often as the years fly by.
I am committed to becoming a true environmentalist, which for me, means eating no meat, using public transportation, growing my own food, collecting water, harnessing the sun and wind for energy and contributing to society in a positive and proactive way.
I recently have become greatly interested in container homes. I always thought of shipping containers as ugly metal beasts. Thanks to the forward thinking and creativity of a few people these ugly shipping containers can now be the building blocks of modern, colorful and eco-friendly homes.
